MÁRET ÁNNE SARA (NO), 2020
Máret Ánne Sara is from a family of reindeer herders in Kautokeino. Her flag echoes the political tensions between the Sami reindeer herders and the Norwegian state. Specifically, it is informed by the government-mandated reindeer culls and their impact on the Sami way of life in West Finnmark, the centre of Sami life and culture in Northern Norway.
