Teitur’s Story Music - the way back home

Sunday 20th at 6 PM.

Teitur embodies a nordic expression of nearness, sincerity and simplicity in his music. This evening, the harbor at Nordatlantens Brygge provides the welcoming backdrop for a personal meeting between the audience and the musician. Teitur plays unique variations of his songs and take us on a journey back to the Faroe Islands to discover what has shaped him. After many years on the international roads, he has settled up there again and recorded the album 'Story Music'.

The nordic feeling will open up and fill the harbor air: We play music, we play with light and moving images, we light fires and heat a soup for you, as warm, as the coming winter is cold, and as warm as the hearts of the viking ancestors that, seeking freedom from upressing governments, found the Faroe Islands.

Teitur sings his songs of the north for us, with subtle melodies and tales of magic and the myths of everyday life. He speaks to us, of intention and of time, of his passion and creativity, and you are invited to join in as you please, as a listener, a contributor or observer. In the north we seem to open up, when we’re invited in.

Nordatlantens Brygge is home to a beautiful historical ware house that houses Faroese, Icelandic and Greenlandic art exhibitions and cultural events, as well as the Icelandic Embassy and the world famous New Nordic restaurant NOMA.

Join us this evening for an experience of Teitur’s cultural heritage.
