FÆRØKNUST © is the title of this exhibition of Edward Fuglø's works at Nordatlantens Brygge in spring 2014. And with good reason, because the work is a typical example of the loving-yet-critical look at Faroese culture that characterises Edward Fuglø's work. And that this critical gaze is also loving is shown in the humour, the warm smile that is always present in Edward Fuglø's art. He is never malicious or demeaning. Like everyone, the Faroese have their cultural quirks, but they are not so very different from the rest of humanity, and fortunately we humans have the gift of being able to laugh at ourselves. Humor is atonement!
